New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy leaves office today after serving two terms.

Whether you agree or disagree with Governor Murphy’s philosophy of governance, you can’t question his work ethic, honesty, integrity and love for New Jersey.

Governor Murphy definitely has a next relevant chapter ahead and we will be following him closely, after he has the opportunity to decompress and recharge.

Mikie Sherrill Becomes The 57th Governor of New Jersey Today

Sherrill dominated the Democratic Primary election versus Newark mayor Ras Baraka and Jersey City mayor Steven Fulop to win the Nomination for Governor.

Mikie Sherrill Versus Jack Ciattarelli

Sherrill defeated Ciattarelli by almost 500,000 votes in the November 4, 2025 General Election.

Sherrill has certainly earned the right to govern, after achieving the most significant electoral mandate in New Jersey history.

Sherrill received 500,000 more votes than any candidate (Republican or Democrat) in New Jersey history.

Early during her time as Governor-Elect, Sherrill announced that she would be retaining Jacquelyn Suarez as the Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) in New Jersey.

The state of New Jersey will be overseeing Atlantic City for at least the next 6 years.

This move by Governor Sherrill inspired confidence, as the Mayor Marty Small administration and the Atlantic City Casino Industry have a good working relationship with Suarez.
