A few weeks ago, at Mohegan Sun, an epic retirement party for Tom Cantone was held. It was a “Who’s Who” extravaganza, attended by more than 300 people.
Cantone Won Big Award In The Run-Up To His Retirement
Cantone is the recipient of the most recent Mystic (Connecticut) Chamber Legacy Award.
A First In History — At Cantone Farewell Event
Apparently, it is the first time that two chairman, from two different competing tribes, along with tribal council members, and elders — all came together for the first time to celebrate Cantone’s legendary career at the same event, at the same time.
Rodney Butler, the Chairman of Mashantucket owners of Foxwoods where Cantone first brought his fire power from Atlantic City. Butler presented Cantone with a special Native American gift of gratitude blessed by the tribe.

People Came From Far Away For Cantone
From as far away as Las Vegas, and New York, to pay their respects and thank Cantone — not just for what he has built as an entertainment powerhouse, but for his leadership of compassion and putting people first.
One executive in attendance said it like this:
There are no Tom Cantone's out there anymore. The many accomplishments and national awards may never be equaled and the relationships that he has built during more than 40 years in the casino industry simply cannot be replaced.
