This comparison is not crazy. It only seems like it is at first glance.
Please give this article a chance.
It came to me earlier this year while we are in Disney World that there are some real similarities to Disney World and Atlantic City.
DISNEY’S BOARDWALK RESORT:
It’s basically modeled after Atlantic City, New Jersey.
While there, you will see constant reminders. The Boardwalk itself and numerous photos and other Atlantic City items, such as Miss America photos and many other Atlantic City specific art effects.
Here is the Atlantic City iconic rolling chair in Disney World, with the always lovely Margie Hurley.
LUCY THE ELEPHANT is also is Disney World:
In the hotel lobby is a large model of Lucy. I can’t locate my photo of this creation … but, it’s an amazing work of art.
Below is a photo that is prominently displayed at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort
The iconic STEEL PIER DIVING HORSE is in Disney World:
This is Steel Pier, as it looks today:
Look at this reminder. An amazing depiction of the Beach, Boardwalk and Grand Hotels in Atlantic City from yesteryear. The horse rides on the beach looks spectacular.
It’s not just The Disney Boardwalk Resort that delivers reminders from Atlantic City.
Here are iconic handprints that were long on display at Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
It’s just like Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, with Frank Sinatra and countless other super stars that placed their hands in wet concrete:
You will see reminders of Atlantic City at the famed Disney Grand Floridian:
THE MAGIC KINGDOM - THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH
Would it surprise you to learn that about 18 million people visit The Magic Kingdom each and every year … however, more than 20 million people visit Atlantic City?
THE DINING IN BOTH DISNEY WORLD & ATLANTIC CITY ARE EXCEPTIONAL

DISNEY’S THE HOLLYWOOD DERBY:

The similarities and reminders with Disney World and Atlantic City don’t end here. There are many more comparisons to be made.
Sometimes it’s just hard to believe how great your own hometown can compare to other great destination resorts around the country.
Atlantic City gets a bad rap, but, in truth … it shows very well versus the competition.
