Man Fatally Stabbed on the Streets of Atlantic City, NJ, Saturday Morning
One man is dead and another has been charged with murder following a disturbance on the streets of Atlantic City early Saturday morning.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says officers with the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Pacific Avenue around 5:00 for a report of a physical altercation.
When they arrived, they discovered Jewel Lonon suffering from stab wounds. Lonon ultimately died from his injuries.
Authorities say they identified the stabbing suspect as 37-year-old Julio Felix Vazquez-Dones.
Vazquez-Dones has been charged with first-degree Murder, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
He was arrested and detained pending his first court appearance.
