Lawnside, N.J. — Detectives continue to investigate a fatal shooting in Lawnside last Friday afternoon.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office said at about 5:50 PM, officers with the Lawnside Police Department responded to the unit block of West Hodges Avenue in reference to a shooting.

Officers learned that the victim, 25-year-old George Rivera of Lawnside, had been taken to Cooper University Hospital in a private vehicle, where he was later pronounced dead at about 11:30 that night.

This investigation is active and ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.
