Manahawkin Woman Killed in Crash on Garden State Parkway

Published reports say a woman from Manahawkin was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County.

The Asbury Park Press reports 20-year-old Grace Conover of the Manahawkin section of Stafford Township died at around 9:30 Sunday night.

Police say an investigation revealed that the car Conover was driving swerved off to the right side of the road, slid down an embankment, and hit several trees around mile marker 60.8 in Eagleswood Township.

State Police say Conover was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
