
Mays Landing, NJ, Man Guilty Of Terroristic Threats and Contempt
The Atlantic County, New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office has earned its latest guilty plea for serious crimes committed.

The Latest — Jamaul Aikens

On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Jamaul Aikens, 32 years old, from Mays Landing, New Jersey, pleaded guilty to the following:
- one count of third-degree terroristic threats.
- one count of fourth-degre contempt.
The guilty plea took pksce before New Jersey Superior Court Judge Christine Smith.
“The plea calls for a recommended sentence of five years for the terroristic threats and 18 months for the contempt in New Jersey State Prison, both counts to run concurrently,” said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Collaborated With The Pleasantville Police Department

On July 8, 2025, Pleasantville police officers responded to a domestic dispute involving a female victim. There was an active final restraining order the female had placed against Aikens. The victim told officers that Aikens arrived at her house, threatened her, and took her cell phone. He then left the residence on foot, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The sentencing of Aikens is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
