LAKEWOOD — A teen who was reported missing by his mother at the end of January was killed, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

The body of 18-year-old Eliabit Mena was found in a wooded area two days after he was reported missing. It was originally found by a woman who was walking her dog in the area. The cause of death for Mena was ruled a homicide after an examination by the Ocean County Medical Examiner.  No further information was provided about the exact cause of death.

Mena was reported missing on Jan. 29 when his mother found his unoccupied car at Lake Shenandoah Park.
