
Multiple Car Burglaries In Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey
During the months of April and May, 2025, there were a number of car burglaries in the Cardiff and Bargaintown sections of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department has advised that they have received multiple reports of such incidents.
Each time, the theft incidents involve unlocked cars, where valuable property has been stolen.
More Information About The Stolen Property
Upon further investigation, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department has confirmed that stolen credit cards have been used to make purchases at various local businesses.
Excellent police work has led to the discovery of three suspects.
The investigation has been managed by Egg Harbor Township Police Detectives Robert Sheppard and Robert Harte.
During their four week investigation they identified three suspects that they believe are directly connected to the car burglaries.
Sheppard and Harte were assisted by Egg Harbor Township Police Officers and other Detectives.
Three Men Have Been Charged
On May 22, 2025, Detective Sheppard obtained court-approved arrest warrants for the following individuals:
- Jonah Nixon, 19 years old, from Ocean City, New Jersey.
- David Doyon, 21 years old, from Pleasantville, New Jersey.
- Charlie Eckert, 19 years old, from Northfield, New Jersey.
Each of the three persons were criminally charged with multiple counts of:
- burglary.
- theft.
- conspiracy to commit burglary.
- attempted burglary.
Additionally, Detective Harte obtained a separate court-approved arrest warrant for Jonah Nixon, charging him with more offenses, including:
- Four additional counts of burglary
- Four counts of conspiracy to commit burglary
- Two counts of theft
- Two counts of attempted theft
- Multiple counts of credit card fraud
Further, this same day, the Ocean City Police Department assisted Egg Harbor Township with the arrest of Jonah Nixon and David Doyon.
Charlie Eckert remains at large, with an active warrant is in place.

Reminds all residents that vehicle burglaries frequently occur when vehicles are left unlocked. Residents are urged to lock their vehicles, remove all valuables, and promptly report any suspicious activity.
