The interim title is gone.

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center has made it official.

The AtlantiCare Board of Trustees has appointed Michael J. Charlton as the president and CEO of the AtlantiCare health system,

Charlton has served in an interim capacity since June 1, 2023.

Localness and a demonstrated record of accomplishment won out for Charlton during an extensive national search process that was formally conducted by Korn Ferry, a preeminent executive search firm.

Charlton is a well known and respected local business owner. He  served as a member of the AtlantiCare Board of Directors for more than 14 years, including 6 years as Chairman of The Board.
