New Jersey Congressman Says No To I.D. Cards For Illegals
United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew, R-2, is currently drafting legislation that will prohibit taxpayer dollars from being spent on identification cards for illegal immigrants.
“The Biden administration has used taxpayer funds to provide illegal immigrants with housing, food, and travel; and now, this administration is considering a program to provide illegal immigrants with I.D. cards," said Van Drew.
“Not only will this program allow illegal immigrants to travel by airfare, but will also make access to government benefits easier, which could ultimately lead to illegal immigrants being able to vote in our elections,” said Van Drew.
In his legislation, Van Drew will detail the serious financial struggles the American people are presently facing and that now is not the time to ramp up benefits for illegal immigrants.
It is Van Drew’s considered opinion that the American people have been unnecessarily forced to manage:
- Highest inflation in more than 40 years.
- Record high food prices.
- Record high gasoline prices.
Van Drew is also opposed to President Biden providing illegal immigrants with more benefits, while the American people are facing supreme challenges.
Van Drew doesn’t believe that Illegal immigrants should not continue to receive more rights, rather, President Biden should work on solutions that will actually benefit the American people.
