New Jersey Senator Introduces Bill to End Taxes on This Income
New Jersey State Senator Vince Polistina, R-2, has formally introduced legislation that would “exempt tips from being taxed under State gross income tax,” said Polistina.
Further, Polistina said:
"At the core of this legislation is easing the financial burden for many of the service industry workers who call New Jersey home. We have seen this topic discussed on a national platform as multiple states are pursuing similar legislation. This should be a bi-partisan issue supported by all to provide direct relief to some of our hardest working citizens,” said Polistina.
Polistina also unconditional supports President Donald Trump’s plan to end taxes on tips, Social Security and overtime wages.
Social Security began in January, 1937, when workers and employers each began paying one percent of the first $ 3,000 of their salary to fund the program.
an unjust double taxation of Social Security began In 1984, surprising under President Ronald Reagan.
This never should hard been done, because seniors have already been taxed on this … and, then upon being a recipient, they get taxed, a second time.
That is wrong and simply a federal government money grab.
During the 2024 President Trump proposed eliminating the double taxation of Social Security.
President Trunp also promised to eliminate taxing tips and overtime wages.
Polistina supports all 3 of these President Trump proposals.
Senator Polistina has also been a big supporter of law enforcement. Below, is a photo gallery of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office at work throughout Atlantic County, New Jersey:
