New Jersey Senator Wants to Eliminate This State Energy Agency
In a decidedly Trumpian move, New Jersey Senator Michael Testa, Jr., R-1, wants to eliminate the state energy agency known as The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU).
Testa does not mince his words saying:
“The NJBPU is a complete and utter FAILURE. They have been derelict in their duty to provide affordable energy to customers. I believe that if something is inherently broken, you don't throw a band aid over it and cover your eyes, hoping the problem will go away... You SHUT IT DOWN!,” said Testa.
Testa has confirmed that he will be craft legislation in the near future, with the stated goal of eliminating the NJBPU.
“I will be introducing legislation in the days ahead to do just that. Our residents deserve so much better than the end of the bargain they are getting from unelected bureaucrats in Trenton,” said Testa.
Testa has been an America first, disrupter to the failed status quo since he successfully returned the 1st Legislative District back to the Republican Party for the first time in more than 15 years of Democrat rule.
The Testa ticket was so strong that it has swept the Senate and both New Jersey General Assembly seats since Testa decided to put his own name on the ballot and run for The New Jersey State Senate.
Testa is also the long-time Chairman of the Cumberland County Republican Party … a position that he continues to hold.
In an open letter to the residents of New Jersey Testa said:
“I've never been afraid to give it to the people of New Jersey straight... So here's the truth: It's time to ABOLISH the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. The mission of the NJBPU is to provide safe & AFFORDABLE energy to utility payers across the Garden State. After news came out recently that energy prices could soar by over TWENTY FIVE (not a typo) percent this summer,” said Testa.
