Nine Arrested; Gun, Drugs, Pills Off Atlantic City Streets
Atlantic City Police say nine people were arrested on July 17th, resulting in a gun, drugs, and pills being taken off of the streets.
Authorities say detectives of the Special Investigations Section along with the Atlantic City DCJ Metro Task Force conducted an operation that targeted people possessing or distributing narcotics and impacting the quality of life of residents. As a result, six men and three women were arrested; detectives recovered a loaded gun, cocaine, heroin, and prescription pills.
The following people were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility:
28-year-old Lionel Bowman of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, contempt of court.
41-year-old David Harmon of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Contempt of court.
29-year-old Nicholas Catalano of Pleasantville.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS and contempt of court.
The following people were released on a summons with a future court date:
22-year-old Jessica Hernandez of Little Egg Harbor.
CHARGES: Eluding and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
52-year-old Elaine Hazard of Little Egg Harbor.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS.
34-year-old Donald Lewis of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS and possession with intent to distribute CDS.
32-year-old Shonda Rector of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS and possession with intent to distribute CDS.
27-year-old Kyrie Johnson of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Contempt of court.
In addition, a 16-year-old male from Atlantic City was remanded to Harborfields Detention Facility. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and receiving stolen property (a handgun stolen from Millville).
