Small has expressed often that he believes that legal recreational marijuana in Atlantic City is good for the convention and destination travel industry in Atlantic City.
On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, an enterprise named Sonraj, LLC received a variance from the CRDA to open a recreational cannabis dispensary at their 2415 and 2417 Pacific Avenue, Atlantic City location.
This is the first Atlantic City application to receive approval.
Sonraj, LLC will need ultimate approval from the state Cannabis Regulatory Commission before it can open for business.
Atlantic City Council previously approved this application for the company that plans to operate under the name “The Healing Side.”
This application calls for the sale of no more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana per year. Additionally, no consumption of marijuana will be permitted to take place at this store.
Thus far, 13 locations in the state have been approved statewide for legal recreational marijuana.
