NJ Man Faces Big Jail Time For Distributing Child Porn Files
A North Jersey man faces big jail time after admitting to distributing child porn pictures and videos on the internet.
On Thursday in Trenton federal court, 28-year-old Marcevan Manasse of Somerville pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography.
Federal authorities say from September 20th through November 22nd, 2020, Manasse distributed images and video files of child sexual abuse via a publicly available online file-sharing network.
Law enforcement officers conducted an undercover online session to access that network and they were able to download five video files and 11 images containing child pornography from an IP address associated with Manasse’s residence.
Officials say those files included multiple visual depictions of pre-pubescent children being sexually abused by adults.
The count of distribution of child pornography that Manasse faces could land him in prison for up to 20 years along with a $250,000 fine.
Sentencing is scheduled for January 23rd.
