NJ State Police K-9 ‘Ice’ Breaks Case on Child Porn Suspect

Ice came to the rescue. New Jersey State Police K-9 Ice, an electronic detection specialist, was called in last month to assist the Camden County Prosecutor's Office High Tech Crimes Unit during a residential search warrant.

Authorities were looking for a hidden cellphone at the residence that contained evidence of child pornography.

Ice found the phone, and, as a result, detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office charged the suspect with possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.

K-9 "Ice" is currently the only electronic storage detection canine in New Jersey and he works with state and local authorities across the state in cases of this kind.
