Ocean City Native Takes Charge of Navy Weapons Station

In a ceremony held earlier this week, Ocean City-native Rear Admiral Jackie McClelland assumed control over the Naval Weapons Station, Cheatham Annex in Williamsburg, VA.

Commander, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group, or NAVELSG, held the ceremony during which a transfer of command happened that resulted in McClelland assuming control of the annex after the previous commander was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral (upper hand).

The ceremony was reportedly full of pomp and circumstance, featuring speeches from many important figures within the organization.

The change of command was completed after both the old commander and McClelland read their new orders out loud in front of all the attendees.
