How Many Pizza Places are on the Ocean City Boardwalk?
Ocean City, N.J. — Someone on Facebook recently asked a simple question: how many pizza places are there on the Ocean City Boardwalk?
And that made me realize that even after walking that boardwalk more times than I could count, I really didn't know.
Sure, you can probably name a few of them, like Manco & Manco (I still call it Mack & Manco), Prep's, 2 Lucky Brothers, 3 Brothers, and a handful of others, but I certainly couldn't think of all of them.
So I did what any normal person would do... I walked the Ocean City Boardwalk between 5th and 14th Streets, counting and taking pictures of each one.
Defining an Ocean City Boardwalk "Pizza Place"
For this list, I made the determination that I would count "a pizza place" as a restaurant that clearly offered pizza by way of either pizzas that you could see as you walked by, "pizza" was in their name, or there was a sign for it. I figured that's how just about anyone wanting pizza would find a spot to get a few slices.

One thing that I quickly learned: if you love pizza in any variety that you can possibly think of, Ocean City is the place to be.
Thin crust by the slice, a full pie to share with your family (before you get attacked by seagulls), pizzas that are the size of a pool float, and just about any topping that you could imagine, the boardwalk has options. Lots of them.

The total? Between 5th and 14th Streets -- a stretch of just 4,750 feet -- you'll find 14 places to grab pizza on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
Think about that for a second: 14 pizza places packed into less than one mile. Now the real question is, which one is your favorite?
