Thank you to Jack Ciattarelli for stepping-up and calling out an outrageous public action taken by the Edison, New Jersey Township Council.

Ciattarelli got it exactly right, when he recently shared the following statement on his Facebook page:

Since when are the American Flag & US Constitution "props" that can't be brought by citizens to a Town Council meeting??? The adoption of this new law in Edison is disqualifying behavior from the Town Council. Perhaps the council should go back and read the oath they took when they got sworn into office, but not before immediately reversing their ridiculous law. The American Flag & US Constitution are NOT "props", wrote Ciattarelli.

Things are happening in America … and, right here in New Jersey - that most of us thought that we would never see.

In what America could an American flag and the United States Constitution be banned by elected officials in a New Jersey town?

This should be considered an illegal act taken by government. It’s an infringement of our constitutional rights.

Not lost on me is how ironic it is that they likely committed an unconstitutional act, by banning the very constitution.

If it wasn’t so sick, it would be hilariously funny.

Jack Ciattarelli can’t become Governor of New Jersey fast enough.

It is beyond radical to restrict citizen taxpayers from bringing an America Flag or The United States Constitution to an open public meeting of their local governing body.

Sight unseen, each and every member of the Edison Township council who voted to restrict the freedoms of their fellow citizens … should be recalled and removed from office at the earliest possible time

Jack Ciattarelli continues sit down straight on a daily basis exactly what kind of Governor he will be.

Ciattarelli does not need to take a poll to decide where he stands on the issues. When he sees an outrageous injustice, he’s not afraid to call out for fear of how many votes will be gained or lost.

Ciattarelli simply does the right thing time and time again.

NOTE: Here is one of my favorite things displayed in my office… United States President Abraham Lincoln and directly beneath him is a copy of our United States Constitution.
