Authorities are offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of a suburban Philadelphia man who is wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl in Camden County.

Charges Against Shane Hennesy

22-year-old Shane Hennesy of Newton Square, PA, was charged back in February with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Those charges are for crimes "he is alleged to have committed against a 12-year-old girl in Pine Hill between December 2024 and January 2025 after the two met online," according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

Description and Possible Locations

Hennesy is described as follows:

  • White male
  • Long, shaggy brown hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Approximately 6' 1" tall
  • About 200 pounds; he may have recently lost weight

Reward Offered for Information

The U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.

Anyone with information about Hennesy’s whereabouts is asked to contact Senior Detective Stephen Bezich at (609) 331-0310.
