PA Handyman Sentenced For Groping Woman in Somerdale, NJ, in 2019
A handyman from Pennsylvania has been sentenced for groping a woman in Camden County four years ago.
Prosecutors say 59-year-old Edward Knox of Aston, PA, who owns Hard Knox Waterproofing out of Upper Chichester, PA, was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact after a guilty verdict was returned by a jury on November 1st.
On Friday, Knox was sentenced to three years of non-custodial probation.
The charge arose out of an incident in Somerdale on January 7th, 2019.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says Knox, who is licensed to operate in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, posed as a termite inspector to enter the victim's home.
Once inside, Knox groped the victim’s buttocks and attempted to expose her breast.
The State was represented at trial by Assistant Prosecutor Anna Trenga. The case was investigated by Detective Howard Dawson of the Somerdale Police Department along with Sgt. Vince McCalla and Detective Gilberto Alicea of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
