A man from Philadelphia is facing a staggering 90 years in prison after being found guilty of sexually abusing a runaway teenager in 2023.

Federal authorities said on Wednesday, 44-year-old Harry Dallas was convicted at trial of manufacturing child pornography, specifically, recording himself engaged in sex acts with an underage girl.

Details From the Federal Trial

According to officials, in June 2023, Dallas encountered a runaway teenager, who had been reported missing for several weeks.

The evidence at trial established that the 15-year-old girl had no money or shelter, a situation that Dallas used to his advantage. Dallas drove the minor to his home in Northeast Philadelphia, where he sexually abused her over the course of several days and filmed videos of himself and the minor engaged in various sex acts. He also took photos of her, including one that depicted the girl while fully nude and asleep.

In 2024, FBI Philadelphia executed a search warrant on Dallas' cloud-based account, which revealed the videos and images that he had taken.

Up to 90 Years in Prison

Dallas is scheduled to be sentenced on June 8th. He faces up to 90 years behind bars.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
