A search continued for a possible second person in the vehicle but was ended as investigators were unable to confirm. Patrols continued in the area overnight as a precaution.
Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told 6 ABC Action News there are certain things in the vehicle that tied it to the one involved in the shooting.
"It was a Honda Accord dark in color with heavy tint, which this vehicle has. Also, the vehicle used in the shooting had blue after-market headlights. This vehicle also had blue after-market headlights."
During the shooting in the Kensington neighborhood at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, several people emerged from a vehicle and fired at least 40 shots on a crowd at Kensington and Allegheny avenues, police said.
