Pleasantville, N.J. — A 6-year-old boy is dead after he was struck by a westbound vehicle on the Black Horse Pike Sunday night.

The crash happened around 9:30 PM Sunday at the intersection of the Black Horse Pike (Routes 40/322) and Noah's Road in Pleasantville.

According to the Pleasantville Police Department, the driver, 31-year-old Antonio Bautista-Luis of Pleasantville, remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officers. Witnesses also remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

The child sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and as appropriate.
