A Pleasantville man has been sentenced for striking an Atlantic City police officer during an arrest last year.

26-year-old Braxton Afifi will be spending the next four years in state prison on a third-degree resisting arrest charge in accordance with a plea agreement that was accepted back in March.
On June 17th, 2022, Atlantic City Police responded to a call for a domestic incident in the area of Missouri Avenue.
The Atlantic County Prosector's Office says Afifi resisted law enforcement commands to comply with the arrest and during a struggle, he struck and injured an officer.
