Police ID Bicyclist Killed in Linwood, NJ, Crash
Linwood Police have updated their information concerning a fatal accident that happened just after midnight Sunday at the intersection of Ocean Heights and Wabash Avenues.
Police responded after receiving a 911 call to find a motor vehicle had struck a man on a bicycle.
The bicyclist, identified as 31-year-old Martin Castillo-Garcia of Linwood, was riding southbound on Wabash Avenue when he was hit by Jennifer Gentile, 41, of Vineland. Gentile was driving her vehicle westbound on Ocean Heights Avenue when the collision occurred.
Castillo-Garcia died at the scene from his injuries. Police have notified his family.
The investigation is being conducted by Officer Brandon Settle and Lieutenant Chester Brown of the Linwood Police in conjunction with the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
