The Egg Harbor Township Police Department has released that at approximately 2:50 p.m., today, Saturday, January 21, 2022 a motor vehicle crash (suspected intoxicated driver involved) occurred at the intersection of Delilah and Fire Roads in the Farmington section of Egg Harbor Township.

“A 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, operated by Michael Connolly, a 57 year-old male from Long Island, NY, was traveling southbound on Fire Road when it was struck by a 2019 Ram pick-up truck, operated by Ian Kulis, a 27 year-old male from Sicklerville, New Jersey,” according to the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.

“Witnesses and the on-scene investigation revealed that Mr. Kulis was traveling westbound on Delilah Road. He traveled into oncoming traffic and disregarded a red traffic signal at Fire Road. As a result of the crash, the occupants of the Santa Fe sustained minor injuries, and were treated at the scene. They did not need to be transported to the hospital.”

The Egg Harbor Township Police Department investigation determined that Kulis was belieged to be impaired.

Kulis was “arrested and later charged with driving while intoxicated,” according to the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.

Traffic in the area was detoured for about an hour as the accident scene was cleared and an investigation conducted by Egg Harbor Township Police Officers Gary Johnson and Matthew Collins.

The passengers in the Santa Fe were treated for their injuries by the Egg Harbor Township Emergency Medical Services.

Kulis was released and given multiple motor vehicle violations as follows:

  • driving while intoxicated.
  • assault by auto.
