I have confirmed that Atlantic City High School Principal Dr. Constance Days-Chapman is directly affiliated with the concession owner that won a contract to operate “The Great Day Café,” which opens tomorrow inside Atlantic City Hall.

This is the name of the concession operator that won a legitimate Request For Proposal, through an open Atlantic City government public process.

I have also confirmed that the Request For Proposal was handled according to all New Jersey laws/requirements that govern such a public transaction.

Despite what some will no doubt say — their friendship does not prevent Days-Chapman from being directly affiliated with a legally responsible proposal — which is required to be considered for an open public request for proposal transaction.

In fact, the “Beat The Daily Grind Café” was the only proposal that the City of Atlantic City received for their new City Hall lobby “Great Day Café” concept.

Hence, no other interested parties lost out in this Request For Proposal process.
