Prosecutor: EHT, NJ Man Faces Faces Child Pornography Charges
The Atlantic County Prosecutor, Will Reynolds has confirmed that an Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey man will face various child pornography charges.
This includes both possession and distribution charges.
“William Roman Jr., 35, was arrested without incident and lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility,” said Reynolds.
Reynolds also confirmed that the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received word that the inappropriate content was available on the social media digital platform SnapChat.
This led to an investigation headed-up by Atlantic County Prosecutor Detectives, who were able to to identify Roman, who they found was also in possession of “additional videos of child sexual exploitation in his possession,” said Reynolds.
Roman has been charged with:
- 2nd degree charge involving distribution of child abuse images via a social messaging service.
- 3rd degree possession of child abuse images.
Reynolds confirmed that this was the result of a multi-jurisdictional collaboration between:
- The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Internet
Crimes Against Children Unit. - United States Department of Homeland
Security Investigations. - Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
