Here Are The First Public Comments From The Atlantic County, New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office — Which We Received At 8:04 P.M.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a head-on vehicle collision that caused the death of two individuals this morning. Their names are being withheld at this point because the investigation is ongoing and next of kin notifications must be completed. The crash occurred Saturday at approximately 7:30 a.m., in the area of Rt. 50 and Third Street in Mays Landing.

The investigation revealed that a stolen vehicle was at fault in the crash. The occupants of that vehicle, one adult and three juveniles, have been charged based upon initial investigation and information presently available. The investigation, which is a cooperative effort between the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and the Hamilton Township Police Department, is ongoing. Notification of additional charges and information will be provided when appropriate.
