President Trump will declare a National Emergency today, Friday, March 13th, at 3:00 PM.

Let’s make today our new day of independence.

Until this coronavirus world pandemic is won, let’s turn-in our Republican and Democrat membership cards.

Let’s all unite and become Americans, again.

There will be plenty of time to fight our political battles and other differences when we prevail over this highly contagious virus.

I was very proud of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo who just gave a completely non-partisan news conference.

He thanked the President and Vice President for their cooperation and help. This is the America that we’ve always been.

Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California has also publicly praised President Trump and Vice President Pence.

Cuomo and Newsom have consistently been two of The President’s harshest critics.

Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Bernie Sanders must stop holding highly partisan, critical press conferences.

They’re acting like “shadow presidents.” It’s dangerous and destabilizing. We only have one President at a time. It’s time to demonstrate leadership and help bring the nation back together.

We are presently in uncharted, unprecedented times. Partisanship is detrimental to solving our current problems.

We must band together. If we do this, there is no stopping us.

Many of our fellow citizens are going to experience disruption in their daily lives and significant hardship in their current employment status.

People will be hurting deeply.

Schools may be forced to implement remote teaching methods. Children will be at home. This will challenge working families.

Extended School closure plans are being formulated and a full state public schools closure is right around the corner. It’s not a matter of “if” but “when.”

Our leading industry (hotel/casino) is hurting. This will cause further economic disruption.

We’re Americans. Let’s do this together.

Let’s put a “book marker” on the political page we were on, and, resume these relatively inconsequential fights after we win the Coronavirus battle.

Note: after reading my open letter, my dear friend Tom Cantone wrote to me the following ...

“Today we are not a red state or a blue state, but, red, white & blue. We all are wearing the same uniform with the same colors.“

This is beautifully written, and, it’s so true. Let’s uphold these ideals.
