If you're thinking Americans are buying a lot of hand sanitizer and toilet paper, you are correct.

And new data shows just how much stuff we're buying.

In a series of Tweets Friday afternoon, Nielsen, the company that tracks consumer spending habits, released some interesting sales data.

For the week ending March 7th, sales of hand sanitizer was up an incredible 470%, toilet paper was up 60%, aerosol disinfectant was up 385%, and rubbing alcohol was up 253% compared to this time last year.

Vitamins, antibiotics, and cold medicine also saw increases of roughly 30 to 55%.
