Philadelphia 76ers president Bryan Colangelo has officially resigned after the 9-day saga that has been investigating his alleged tweeting scandal.

Last week, Colangelo was accused of using fake and anonymous Twitter accounts to criticize the Philly NBA team, according to Philly.com

However, the law firm leading the investigation found that the accounts in fact belonged to Colangelo's wife, who used a burner phone to criticize the team and its players on Twitter. In which case, they say that Colangelo was, “the source of the sensitive, non-public, club-related information” that the accounts shared, thus leaving him responsible to with hold the private information.

Apparently, Colangelo had no knowledge of his wife's doings and says she sent the Tweets in order to defend him against public scrutiny.
