Anything that Dan Greenberg makes … he does well. The attention to detail, texture and flavor is always there at the highest level.

About Dan’s version of meatloaf, he says:

“We smoke our meatloaf, then slice and grill it with some cheese.... definitely not grandma's that's for sure.”

At Cathy Burke’s The Irish Pub, of course, she has a classic Meatloaf dinner regularly available.

John Devlin is a big fan saying, “The Irish Pub has an old school meat loaf.”

The Crab Trap is not just a seafood restaurant. Their filet mignon and other non-seafood dishes … such as meatloaf are outstanding.

My wife Margie loves meatloaf … I picked this great meal-up for her earlier this week.

Margie said it was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor, with rich, savory gravy and perfect mashed potatoes.

Mashed potatoes are another menu item that The Crab Trap makes in perfect fashion.

MERRILL’S COLONIAL INN - MAYS LANDING

Sue Carman Diefenbeck says that Merrills Colonial Inn, Mays Landing makes  the best meatloaf. Several more of our readers, including Sue Sandman also submitted Merrill’s, saying:

“Angel Merrill at Merrill's has mommy's meatloaf usually on Thursday- it's my favorite and amazing - with strawberry pie when available- I'll stab you for the last piece!!!” Said Sue Sandman.

FRED & ETHYL’S LANTERN LIGHT INN - SMITHVILLE

This is a great and historic restaurant.

Joelle Genovese-Bridgers Wtote is that “Merrill's in Mays Landing has the best meat loaf! Also, Lantern Light Inn in Smithville had a good one.”

Steve Marchel is an incredible owner - operator. The quality of this restaurant is of the highest caliber.

The Water Dog offers:

Meatloaf "The Loafer,” which is meatloaf with caramelized onion, russian & cheddar Cheese on a brioche roll.

THE SILVER COIN - HAMMONTON

Tom Mozitis Writes, “Harry I have a difficult time finding one that is as good as Kathy, my wife, makes. HOWEVER, I have tried meatloaves from diner to diner throughout NJ.... The Silver Coin in Hammonton has FANTASTIC meatloaf!”

Joe Toland writes, “Gilchrist had the best meatloaf back in the 80's. When they were on Maryland Avenue. Construction guys and police officers would jam the place on meatloaf Tuesday So good, even Bobby Trump would stop in.”

POINT 40 DINER - MONROEVILLE

This is outside of Atlantic County, however, Dave Garner says, “Point 40 Diner is really good !!”
