South Jersey’s Bonesaw Brewing Named a Must-visit U.S. Brewery
The website InsideHook.com recently compiled a national list of 12 destination breweries across the United States worth traveling for, including one from South Jersey, in Gloucester County.
As the author points out, traveling to a brewery can offer a window into the soul of a destination, opening plenty of doors to the rest of the town, offering a great spot to meet locals, pick up travel tips, and find suggestions for restaurants, hikes, and museums.
Bonesaw Brewing Company is located at 570 Mullica Hill Rd. in Glassboro. The brewery has been in business for seven years and even opened a second 8,000 square foot location at the Deptford Mall.
Beer connoisseurs will tell you that the acid test of a brewer’s chops is his lightest brew, where flaws can’t hide behind heavy hopping. Bonesaw’s Crimson Skull, a featherweight Viennese-style lager, is both crushable and complex, the ideal session beer for sipping on a sunny fall afternoon on their spacious patio. Their New England- and West Coast-style IPAs are equally well-executed.
Visitors can enjoy their creative, award-winning craft beers while sitting in their cozy taproom, which almost feels like a ski lodge. They also have a sprawling outdoor seating area, which is a perfect spot during the late spring, summer, or fall months.
Signature Beers Worth Tasting
One of their most well-known beers is Swoosh, a juicy IPA that focuses on big, bursting hop flavor and aroma. If you like something with a little more bite, try a Squeezins, which is a Juicy Double IPA that comes in a 9.0% ABV.

National Recognition and Awards
They have two award-winning beers from the 2024 Great American Beer Festival. Their Le Petit Démon (gold) and Red Dawn (bronze) were recognized as two of the best brews in the nation in their respective categories.
