Here’s What to Expect at Spirit Halloween’s NJ Flagship Store Opening
Egg Harbor Township, N.J. — Halloween season is officially back in South Jersey (yes, we know it's still July), and this year, it's bigger than ever.
Spirit Halloween's flagship store at Harbor Square / Shore Mall on the Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township is holding its grand opening on Saturday, August 1st, and after a 2025 hiatus due to supply chain issues, the return is generating serious spooky excitement.
The bad news is that pre-registration for the event, which was capped at 2,000 tickets, sold out almost immediately when it opened. Luckily, you don't need one of those advance tickets to attend. General admission will be available on-site.
What to Expect at the Grand Opening
The event is free and open to the public, and no pre-registration is required for general admission.
If you want guaranteed access when the store opens, plan to arrive at Harbor Square by 7 AM to join the general admission lanyard line.
Here's what to expect:
- 7 AM — On-site general admission line opens
- 8 AM — Check-in and outdoor festivities begin with games, food, freebies, and more
- 10 AM — Official ribbon-cutting and store opening
- Noon — Outdoor festivities wrap up
- 8 PM — Store closes
Spirit Halloween will randomly award 250 swag bags to registered attendees at the check-in tent, plus an additional 30 on-site.

No Camping!
One thing worth noting -- and the company made this very clear -- camping is not permitted.
In fact, the earliest time attendees are welcome to arrive on site is 7 AM on that Saturday. Overnight parking (and camping) are not permitted anywhere at Harbor Square. Egg Harbor Township Police and event security officers will be actively monitoring the event site, surrounding areas, and the adjacent bike path. Anyone attempting to camp will be asked to leave.
