The St. Augustine football team will remain on the sideline when high school football season starts Friday night.

The Hermits played in a scrimmage against Woodrow Wilson on Friday, but will not be able to kickoff their season this Friday or next week, due to COVID-19 tests on campus.

St. Augustine Prep has canceled sports for more than two weeks, including first two football games with Vineland and Millville and will be switching to a remote learning schedule for all students.

The school hopes to reschedule some of the fall sports events, like soccer and cross country, but making up two football games is unlikely.
