
Stabbing Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder in Atlantic City, NJ
An Atlantic City man is facing attempted murder and other charges after he allegedly stabbed a woman Thursday morning.
The Atlantic City Police Department says just after 8:00, their officers responded to an apartment complex in the 3800 block of Atlantic Avenue in reference to an assault.
Arriving officers located a 26-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds.
As an officer was rendering medical aid to the victim, the suspect, 38-year-old Emmanuel Pacheco-Pineda of Atlantic City, emerged from the building and was taken into custody without incident.
Officers were able to recover the weapon used in the assault.

Three children that were present were evaluated by medical personnel and released into the custody of a family member.
The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Pacheco-Pineda has been charged with attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
