‘Superstore’ and ‘Gilmore Girls’ Actress Linda Porter Dies
Actress Linda Porter, best known for her current role as Myrtle on NBC's Superstore, died on Wednesday (September 25) at 86-years-old.
According to multiple reports, the actress died after a long battle with cancer. Fans may recognize her as Fran Westin on Gilmore Girls or "Lady Slot-Addict" on Twin Peaks. She has also appeared on television shows including American Horror Story, 2 Broke Girls, Phil of the Future, The Mindy Project, among others.
Actor Mark McKinney, who plays Superstore's Cloud 9 manager Glen, shared a video of Porter with the caption, "Thank you for the life advice."
Actor Ben Feldman, who plays Jonah on the NBC comedy, shared an image of her chair. "Here’s hoping the angels don’t call cut right away because your best stuff always came at the end," he wrote in the caption. "We’ll miss you Linda Porter."
"Linda wasn’t just hilarious; she was incredibly sweet, energetic and enthusiastic — working with her brightened everyone’s day," Superstore executive producers Gabe Miller and Jonathan Green said in a press release. "We’re lucky to have been a small part of her long career. The Superstore family won’t be the same without her."
There's no word on if Superstore will address her death.
