The bill would let gas stations offer self-serve but require those with more than four dispensers to continue to have full-service gas pumps.

Sarah Fajardo, policy director at the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey, said the bills help vulnerable people in prisons and juvenile facilities.

Starting this summer, New Jersey will add Zack Alerts in which electronic road signs, broadcast media, and text messages will alert the public to some hit-and-run crashes.
