The Philadelphia Phillies have placed first baseman Rhys Hoskins on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to August 7, with a left groin injury, the team announced Tuesday.

After opening the season with a sweep of the Atlanta Braves and winning two out of three from the Washington Nationals, things have not gone so well for the Phillies.
