Some Taskykakes Sold in NJ, Philadelphia Being Voluntarily Recalled
Some Tastykake products that were sold across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and surrounding states are being voluntarily recalled due to undeclared peanuts.
Flowers Foods, the company behind Tastykakes, says some packages of Chocolate Kandy Kakes actually contain Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of a serious or even life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume those products.
What to look for
The packages being recalled were distributed on May 11th to stores in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, and West Virginia. The packages have an "enjoy by" date of June 5, 2023, on the side and the following UPC: 0 25600 00225 4.
No illnesses or incidents have been reported.
