The APCD says a teenager was arrested on Sunday after refusing to stop for officers while driving a stolen car.

At 2:00 pm, Officer Auttika Taing saw a stolen Kia Forte in the 800 block of Ohio Avenue. The car had been reported stolen shortly after 6:00 am. Officer Taing attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop when the driver sped off. Officer Taing pursued the vehicle until it stopped on Route 30 into Absecon. The driver and three passengers were taken into custody with assistance from Officers Maria Borsani, Martina Martin, and K9 Officer Amir Hughes with his partner Ghost. The three passengers were released into the custody of their parents. The driver was criminally charged.

A 17-year-old male from Atlantic City was charged with receiving stolen property and motor vehicle summons. He was released to his parent with a future court date.
