The latest: Atlantic City, NJ Intends for its Airshow to Continue
There is a lot of confusion today, with news breaking that Wildwood, New Jersey is allegedly taking over the Atlantic City Airshow.
We can now confirm that this is not the case. We caught-up with Michael Chait, President of The Greater Atlantic Chamber of Commerce.
Because so much confusion about what is really going on is continuing throughout the day … we are including Chait’s entire statement to us as follows, to clear the air:
“As the organizer of the Atlantic City Airshow, the Greater Atlantic City Chamber would like to clarify recent reports about the future of our show. Our focus remains on bringing the Atlantic City Airshow back to the city of Atlantic City in 2026. We are actively working with military and civilian demonstration teams, the International Council of Airshows, and aviation professionals to create another world-class event that has made the Atlantic City Airshow a signature Jersey Shore tradition for nearly two decades. We are committed to continuing our legacy of showcasing military and civilian aviation excellence over the Atlantic City beaches and boardwalk. When confirmed, we will announce specific dates and details for the 2026 show,” said Chait.
Wildwood is trying to put an air show together for this year (2025).
Below are links to two articles that will provide you with a lot of information about this situation. Both articles will provide ample context about what both Atlantic City and Wildwood are planning to do.
The first article is written by my colleague Eddie Davis, and, the second article is a follow up piece that I wrote.
