The Plan to Fix Broken Atlantic City, NJ: Former Mayor Involved
Atlantic City is presently in the throes of troubling times and is facing a critical tipping point moment of truth.
There is no time to waste.
If Atlantic City was a business … it would be begging for new management.
Atlantic City desperately needs a new Mayor without delay.
The perfect choice is New Jersey Assemblyman Don Guardian.
Guardian barely lost re-election, coming up just short when former Atlantic City Council President Craig Callaway opted not to support Guardian’s re-election bid.
Callaway was the difference-maker in a razor thin election margin.
I know that Guardian absolutely loves being a member of the New Jersey State Legislature … and, he’s very good at it.
The need in Atlantic City is so great that Guardian should consider reclaiming his old job.
Guardian was a fabulous Mayor of Atlantic City. He was a combination Mayor and Ambassador all rolled-up into one.
Atlantic City was both clean and safe. Guardian had his priorities in order.
Guardian used to travel with Visit Atlantic City to help “pitch” The World’s Playground wherever and whenever needed.
Guardian also regularly joined public works crews in the early 6:00 a.m. hour … setting the example and proper tome that cleanliness is next to godliness.
The streets and public areas were clean. The City of Atlantic City during the Guardian years were perceived as safe.
Guardian had the executive skills and moral authority to lead.
Developers also liked it when Guardian was Mayor, as they trusted him for being an honest broker.
Should Guardian not run for Mayor … another honest, former Mayor, Lorenzo Langford could literally step right in and clean-up the current mess.
Former long-time UNITE-HERE Local 54 President Bob McDevitt is also considering a run for Mayor of Atlantic City.
What’s in place now must end… Any of these three fine men outlined here today would be a major upgrade.
