There was a common theme from those who participated in this project and that’s the words “family and friends.”

After performing required work in order to be able to provide for your family and providing yourself with a professional sense of accomplishment … the real key to life is spending as much quality time with family and friends as possible … this is the most important thing in this game called life.

As the years fly by, all too quickly … There’s an expression that I’ve grown much fonder of …

It goes like this … “Work to live. Don’t live to work.”

Don’t get me wrong. I love my job. I love to work hard and give my job and my company my all.

Just don’t cheat yourself and your family and friends out of spending quality time together. You’ll never regret the time that you’ve spent with family and friends. You’ll only regret the times that you didn’t.

Also, get into the business of saying, YES. If you have the opportunity to do something … try to navigate the path and say yes, I’ll go with you.

It’s easy to raise objections and make excuses to not do something. Find a way to do it.

Extended holiday weekends also gives you extra time to do things that you usually can’t find a time to do. Seize the moment.
