Cops say three people from Camden were arrested early Sunday morning following an armed robbery in Atlantic City.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department, at about 5:30 Sunday morning, patrol officers responded to the beach block of New York Avenue for the report of a man who was robbed at gunpoint. Police say during the robbery, the suspects pulled up to the victim in their car and one person pointed a gun at the victim while another demanded his wallet and cell phone. A woman was also in the vehicle with the men.

Luckily, cops were able to get a detailed description of the suspects, the vehicle, and the gun used and officers in the area were alerted. About ten minutes later, ACPD officers saw the vehicle get on the Atlantic City Expressway. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the three occupants were arrested. A loaded handgun was found inside the woman’s purse.

23-year-old Naquan Beverly, 23-year-old Mariah Foster, and 19-year-old Robert Rand-Shambry, all of Camden, were charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and conspiracy.

All three were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
