Three Teens Arrested, Gun and Drugs Recovered from Brigantine Traffic Stop
Three teenagers are in trouble with the law following a traffic stop late Friday night in Brigantine.
Authorities say a Brigantine police officer conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 3200 block of Brigantine Boulevard around midnight Friday.
According to a social media post, the three occupants of the subject vehicle exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers chased the three and one person threw a loaded gun from his waistband. All three suspects were apprehended by Brigantine Police after lengthy foot pursuits.
An investigation also yielded the seizure of a quantity of marijuana that was prepackaged for resale as well as a seizure of the motor vehicle.
The 17-year-old male from Atlantic City, who was found to be in possession of the handgun, was charged accordingly and lodged in Harbor Fields Detention Center. The other two, a 17-year-old male from Atlantic City and a 15-year-old male from Bridgeton, were charged and released pending appearances in juvenile court.
