
’Torch Run’ & The Atlantic County, NJ, Prosecutor’s Office
This annual event has been taking place for 42 years. It directly benefits the Special Olympics New Jersey.
On June 6, 2025, members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office participated in the 42nd Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run.

The Special Olympics Summer Games were held at College of New Jersey on June 7 & 8, 2025.
The “Torch Run” holds multiple run legs, that take place throughout the state of New Jersey.
Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Ran A “Leg”
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office participated in the 8th leg, that took place from Caesars Casino Hotel in Atlantic City to the Camden waterfront.
Eight members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office detective division ran in a 4+ mile leg.
They took the torch from Atlantic City Police Department at the Absecon Shop Rite and ultimately passed the torch to the Galloway Township Police Department at the Galloway Diner.
Two Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office detectives followed the runners in a van from Atlantic City to Hammonton and provided (runner support) water and bananas that were donated by Absecon Shop Rite.

Special Olympics New Jersey provides year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities and health screenings to 22,000 athletes and Unified Partners. All of these programs and services are always completely FREE thanks to fundraising events like the Law Enforcement Torch Run, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
